This track from The Dead South is gloriously difficult to categorise. It has the sounds and vocals of a bluegrass song, the rhythm of a show-tune and the vibe of a blues or perhaps even gospel hit. It’s fantastic.
The video alone is well worth the time it takes to watch. It’s simple, catchy, doesn’t take itself too seriously and holds the attention. The contrast between the two vocalists is excellent and lends a greater strength to the overall track. Rebel Voice considers this to be a little-known gem that we are delighted to be able to share with you all. Enjoy it and try not to tap your feet too much lest you damage your beloved cowboy boots.
