This joker has offered up a simplistic solution to the problem of flags, or flegs, in the Occupied Six Counties (OSC). The short piece does illustrate the variety of symbols to be found in the OSC, and how easy it is to get bogged down in the argument.
For the record, Rebel Voice recommends that no flags be flown from public buildings, ever. RV also wants to see the Loyal Orders banned from marching in public places until they remove the sectarian criteria from their terms of membership, and even then there should be a period of no marches until emotions settle down.
Rebel Voice believes that flags should only be erected on flagpoles in town/city centres where they are accepted by 95% of the local population. Murals should be allowed in estates with similar approval, but not on public buildings unless non-political.
There, glad we sorted that out. We might get some fuckin’ peace now…
