The above quote could be applied to justifications for the creation of the rogue state of Israel, and its continuing immunity from international sanction and affirmative action for the crimes against humanity that it perpetrates daily.
Many noble journalists have stood up and spoken out about Israeli crimes. One of those reporters is Abby Martin from the USA. Recently, Abby was due to speak at an event in the state of Georgia. Sadly, she was unable to because of a state requirement that she sign a pledge not to boycott the rogue state of Israel. This effectively means that although Abby can call for a boycott of her own nation, the USA, she cannot call for a boycott of Israel.
The Islamic rights group, CAIR, have rowed in behind Abby on this issue as the pledge clearly breaches the US First Amendment which ensures the right of free speech and a free press. The move by any state legislature to impose draconian measures that infringe upon the civil rights of a citizen of the United States, in defence of a state that has been documented as being engaged in both war crimes and crimes against humanity, is outrageous. Yet, Georgia is not the only US state to have employed this nefarious tactic.
Abby Martin has taken the decision to sue the state of Georgia over its oppressive move. Humanitarians, and those opposed to fascism and injustice, can only hope that she is successful. A victory would be a strong statement of intent against the Israeli regime and its backers within the US political system and its financial backers.

This draconian censorship act by state of Georgia really belong to classical authoritarian and fascists political states. It is an outrage and one would’ve expected much more agitation against it from the US society in general. Abbey Martin deserve all the support that can be mustered,hers is a deeply principled fight.

Yes, you are correct, it is shocking that there is not greater outrage. Has society been programmed over many decades to turn a blind eye to injustice where Israel and its allies are involved?
