Eddie Vedder – Rise (Folk) From Soundtrack Of “Into The Wild”

Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam fame might just be one of the coolest people on the planet. He’s up there with Kris Kristofferson, Che Guevara and auld Paddy Donnelly who works at the gardening round our way. In 2007, Vedder released his first solo album titled Into The Wild, which was the soundtrack for the eponymous movie which Rebel Voice can’t recommend highly enough.

Here is one track from that masterpiece of cinematic endeavour. The movie is based upon the true story of Christopher McCandless, who gave everything up to try to find himself by travelling across the USA. Sadly, he died in an unfortunate mistake in the wilds of Alaska. The movie was written, directed and co-produced by Sean Penn, who is also a pretty cool guy be all accounts.
