Phoenicians – Sea People Of The Ancient Middle East

Carthage was one of the greatest cities of the ancient world. It was entirely destroyed by Rome after they won the final Punic War. The remains can still be seen in Tunisia today. Here’s a look at the people who founded it.

Rebel Voice

This short documentary looks at the mysterious Phoenicians, an ancient people who connected the world of the Mediterranean through trade. The females from this population group were said to have been the most beautiful in the world. No doubt females from other populations may disagree strongly with this conclusion.

However, there is no doubt that the Phoenicians were a major force in the world of commerce in the region. Carthage was a Phoenician city founded by Dido, who went on to have a massive musical hit with Eminem (just kidding…. her music was only sampled). They lost their place in the Mediterranean after the Punic Wars with Rome, which they lost. Hannibal, the great Carthage general, probably needed some hippos to supplement his elephant army, and tanks.
