Many movies are entirely dependant upon a cracking soundtrack for any popularity they might receive. The best movies have the music as a bonus to a great story and cast. Musical content in any movie is massive. Whether it is a lyrically passive piece of orchestral music or a bitching hot rock track, the soundtrack sets the mood and supplements the plot. Imagine Pulp Fiction without the music, or The Piano, or Streets of Fire or The Dollars Trilogy.
