The Transmutation, from Patriotism to Capitalism
The Empire’s dead, the Empire lives,
the borders now on ledgers;
the flags removed, the anthems shunned
for ditties, logos, branded fun.
The Empire’s dead, the Empire thrives,
to feed on promise to wasted lives.
