Hmm… Rebel Voice is never sure about posts like this. The subject matter is of interest to readers but in essence is bullshit. Actors are over-paid attention-seekers who seldom use the platform they have been given for anything of worth. There are exceptions to this of course.

A,B and even C listers get paid more than nurses who help save lives. So do professional footballers, and we would be justified in wondering at how our priorities as a species have become so messed-up as to facilitate this travesty. Imagine a world where those who save the lives of children were treated as the real celebrities; where our icons are humanitarians instead of bloated ego-maniacs; where the red carpet is for the surgical team who operated to save a life, or the firefighters who risked their lives to pull innocents from burning buildings. It’s not likely to happen anytime soon, but we can imagine.
