Anonymous are fairly well known across the globe. They are a shadow organisation that hacks into the IT systems of carefully selected targets in an effort to disrupt their perceived criminal conduct, or to expose their activities. But how effective are Anonymous?

The following report looks at one case where the group exposed an attempted cover-up of a rape scandal. It’s nice to think that there’s a conscientious organisation that has our welfare at heart and the ability to do something to protect us. Perhaps we expect too much. Therefore, when they do manage to make a positive difference, it’s most welcome. Let’s hope that Anonymous step up and take on the Establishment in a more consistent manner. Let’s hope they can stem the rising tide of fascism sweeping across the globe. Let’s hope they can help save our societies.
