The Saw Doctors were once both the bees knees and dog’s bo**ocks in Ireland. They were never off the TV or radio and for very good reason. They played great music. Their lyrics were not on a par with McGowan or Cohen or Dylan or Dempsey, but they were fun and catchy and memorable. A Saw Doctors gig meant a mosh pit of culchies without the violent overtones.
