by Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich Guest Writer, Dandelion Salad June 30, 2018 It is as clear as day that President Trump is obsessed with regime change in Iran. What is not made clear is how much his gambit is damaging to Americans and American interests.

  1. Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich’s article should be a sobering and thought provoking piece but it won’t be. Americans are unable to see the damage Netanyahu inflicts on them with his financial and policy demands or perhaps they don’t care. Either way, Israeli requirements of every US President for decades has had a detrimental effect on the general population, including the cost if living and security.
Not that security is a major issue for us Westerners. The ramped up fear of terrorism is a total fraud. There is much more risk of our lives coming to a sudden ending after a visit to B & Q or Do It All. Yes, that’s right, an accident with a drill or climbing up ladders is far more likely to be life threatening than those pesky terrorists. For instance, if we in the UK knew more about the ‘terrorist plots’ that have been uncovered here by the plod, the theme of amateurish loners being inspired by a ‘main man’ with funds and contacts who quickly disappears when the armed police arrive, would be very revealing
Despite the dire warnings that Iran are supporters of terrorism, it isn’t the Iranians who are supporting the cranks pretending to be Sunni Muslims on the Southern border of Syria. They are actually supporting a secular government in Syria and Hezbollah, who actually help Lebanese regardless of their faith. There is however one entity in the Middle East that does discriminate against people based on their religion and the vast majority of us will never know what it’s like to be chosen as a citizen.
Viewing the targeting of Iran logically, the US is not threatened militarily or financially by them. Indeed, alleged threats by Iran regarding Israel have been categorically refuted amid accusations of deliberately dubious translation of important statements.
The only conclusion we can draw is that these coordinated attempts to stifle the Iranian economy are an act of war – on behalf of a foreign country and judging by his meddling so far, the blame can be put at Jared Kushner’s feet, the Orthodox Jew who seemingly dictates policies to Trump.
