Rafeef Ziadah is a Palestinian poet who wrote the following poem in response to an idiotic question that she was asked by someone who has little sympathy for the suffering of the people of Palestine at the bloodied hands of Israel. She was asked if it would be better if the Palestinians didn’t teach their children to hate. Her poetic reply is now rightly regarded as a perfect example of protest poetry.
Anyone interested in poetry must listen to this. The recital is one that will leave you holding back your tears and hopefully wondering how you can better help Palestine.
Powerful and worthwhile poetry. Need to be read by everyone. Thank you.

You don’t have to be interested in poetry to get this… I guess this is more powerful than anything ever said about the plight of Palestinians by any political leader, activist, or whatever they call themselves…. thank you for the warning… but I still could not hold back tears…
