This is a great protest song performed famously by the impressive Frances Black. It highlights the hypocrisy that exists in officialdom regarding what is and isn’t acceptable. This author had the pleasure, just a few short years ago, of attending a talk on women in Irish society when Frances was on the panel. She spoke passionately and eloquently about her life, before performing the song that you are now about to hear. It was an intimate venue, in south Armagh, for such an impromptu performance and all the more memorable for it.
Senator Black, as she is now, has just proposed a motion in the Irish Senate calling for a total official boycott of all Israeli squatter products in Ireland. Rebel Voice says more power to her.
