This short piece on old Ireland is interesting in a number of ways. It does give us an insight into some life back in the day. The scenery is stunning, of course, although the narration is simplistic. But remember it was aimed at audiences that knew nothing of real Ireland.
Look out for Dick, who is an extremely fat bastard and probably would be responsible for an Irish famine on his own. God help the donkey that has to carry him. He looks like he spent his life in McDonald’s. In the absence of fast food, Rebel Voice has to wonder exactly what, or who, Dick was eating. It’s ironic that today the US is the nation with the greatest number of morbidly obese citizens. Rebel Voice wonders, what went wrong?
