Unfortunately, John and Mary are a parody of an all-too-real occurrence across Ireland. Still, they do give us a good laugh when they tear strips off one another on Father Ted. Rebel Voice wonders just how many of you know a John and Mary, or (and we hope not) are a John and Mary? There’s an art to hiding a domestic fight when you’re really going at it. There are couples in Ireland who should be given Academy Awards for their acting abilities in this respect. Dirty looks when they think no one’s watching. Nips and shoves. A long fingernail pointed aggressively. Dogs can be a nightmare when they’re upset. Women too can be vicious when they want to get their point across. The poor men of the world don’t stand a chance. Ahem…
