Conditions in India are appalling for many of the citizens. Inequality is standard practice. Corruption and discrimination are endemic.
Although the world’s second most populous nation, India’s government does much less to assist its people than their neighbour China, which has a larger population. It will take radical change to improve the living conditions for the majority of India’s long-suffering people.
Socialism offers the best option for the future. Although the rebels are currently relatively small in number, their cause has the potential to grow. Should this seem likely, then watch for the capitalist nations of the West intervening in some manner to assist the current inept, and capitalist, Indian authorities.
The War on Want is global, and India (and her people) most certainly will have an important role to play in any humane resolution.
