Palestinian Recognition In Ireland

This is a petition that was started last year in an effort to encourage the Irish government to adopt a position whereby the state of Palestine is officially recognized.

Both Houses of the Irish Parliament passed motions calling for such official recognition. Yet today that call has gone unheeded. It is thought that the Israeli government have, privately, placed great pressure on the Irish government, to prevent such Palestinian state recognition.

Currently we are awaiting a response from the relevant government department to a query that they received some months ago, and which they have apparently chosen to ignore. An official complaint has been lodged with the appropriate body. When a reply is received, an update will be posted. In the meantime, please try to encourage others to sign. Every name counts.

This campaign, to secure recognition of the State of Palestine, continues.
