The micro world of insects is a strange and fascinating place. It’s brutal with no room for sentimentality. Eat and be eaten. Kill and be killed. Just like politics but with shorter mortality and greater morality.

In the following footage, we get a look at the never-ending war between termites and ants. Termites are builders, the construction workers of the insect world. Ants are the roving gangs of hoods seeking to plunder. They are fairly evenly matched but the termites have home advantage. Take a look at what happens when the two groups meet in a desperate battle for survival. It’s a bit like a session in the Ukrainian parliament.
