Swords – Mythological Weapons Of Power

Who doesn’t love a good sword? Whether it’s the weapons of the Samurai and Ninja, or Excalibur or that brute of a thing that William Wallace carried in Braveheart, these ancient tools of war are a part of our development as a species.

Some are ornate, some are basic, some are well made and some are from Taiwan. Some are made from cardboard and tinfoil and some are lasers as even futuristic warriors choose the sword as their weapon of choice.

In the following light-hearted presentation, we take a look at some of the most powerful swords in mythology. Of course, this list is nowhere near complete. Every hero and heroine had/has their personal weapons, but only some have made it into popular global culture. Which swords are not on this list but should be, do you think?
