Much of the torrid news emerging from the Palestinian Crisis centers around the holy city of Jerusalem. It is a place with an ancient and storied pedigree, shared by the three Abrahamic faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It is also a place currently in turmoil as Zionism attempts to secure exclusive rights to this scared space.
The battle over Jerusalem is about the conflict between those who have lived there for centuries and those who have not. The Europeans and their descendants that arrived at the start of the 20th century, have sought to claim Jerusalem as theirs alone. Yet the Jews (Yeshiva), Christians and Muslims who lived there peacefully as neighbours for an age are refusing to be forced out quietly. Therein lies the problem for the rogue state of Israel.
The following brief presentation is a light look at the circumstances surrounding Jerusalem and the reasons for the recent decision by Paraguay to return its embassy to Tel Aviv. The video is slightly dated as the US has since moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
