The Spanish world has produced many fine poets not known fully by those of us who don’t have the necessary language skills. It’s a source of great frustration for lovers of poetry to realize that there is so much in the way of fine writing that is unavailable to them. Garcia Lorca is one poet who remains underappreciated outside of Spain. The following is a short piece introducing us to this martyr of verse who was, in many ways, ahead of his time.
