This style of verse is known by A.D. as Extract Poetry or Extract Verse. The ellipsis can be used at the beginning or the end, or both, to give the impression that the writing has been taken from a larger piece.

The Hypocrites of Piety

… the hypocrites of piety

that drizzle bullshit on fear

to coat and coax the masses

into penitence and donation,

tears of supplication and sorrow,

will sneer at the naivety,

guffaw at the spoils,

excuse the method as necessary

accrue of royalties

for pursuance of salvation

from sin that they understand.

As on earth and beyond they chew,

they guzzle their path to damnation

through pious hypocrisy.
