This footage is from the BBC series, The Human Planet. It shows the age-old tradition in the Steppes of Asia of tribesmen training Golden eagles to hunt foxes for what they perceive to be sport.
The raptors get the offal of their kill and the humans take the pelt. As brutal as such a practice might seem to many, it should be remembered that life in these regions is not westernized. Eagles do hunt large prey, and the handlers are merely working in cooperation with these beautiful creatures.
