Really? I never heard about that particular superstition. I suppose there were a lot of good luck/ bad luck traditions? I expect you have a lot of stories from that time. I have to ask if you have ever read any of James Lee Burke’s novels? He mentions veterans (kindly) a lot in them. So what songs were considered good luck?

When I served in Viet Nam every bar played CCR and this song we considered a bad luck song.
